Do you have a favourite place in Canada? Do you have a treasured spot
our viewers should see?
The National and Sounds Like Canada are searching for the Seven
Wonders of Canada and we need your help.
We want you to nominate what you consider to be the most wonderful
place and tell us why it's so special.
Maybe it has a natural beauty. Perhaps it's because of the wildlife.
It could be the people who live there. It's up to you. In short, tell
us why your special place should be one of the 'Wonders of Canada.'
This is an ideal opportunity to sing the praises of Wreck Beach. With
recent negative local press and a some negative attitudes toward
Wreck by some conservative politicians in the GVRD we wage an ongoing
struggle to maintain our precious beach in a favorable light. Every
bit of good publicity secures good thoughts for Wreck in the public
consciousness.
Please visit one of the links below for CBC radio or Television (or
both) and let them know why Wreck Beach deserves to be one of the
Seven Wonders of Canada. When the call for entries was televised on
the National they specifically asked for "passion."

Your enthusiasm here for Wreck Beach will greatly assist the Wreck
Beach Preservation Society when we need to go to bat for the beach.
Wreck Beach is one of the wonders of Canada. I think on many counts
we stand a great chance of being included in the finalists. Certainly
every broadcaster recognizes the words "nude beach" or "clothing
optional beach" will cause listeners to perk up their ears. Please
take a minute or two to let the CBC know how important, amazing,
beautiful, inspiring... hey I don't want to put words in your mouth,
you say it!

vice-chair - Wreck Beach Preservation Society
